He Will Act – Proverbs 2:6-8

“For the LORD gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
guarding the paths of justice
and watching over the way of his saints.”

Proverbs 2:6-8

As we intentionally seek our Lord and His wisdom, He is intentionally working for good in our lives.

“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act” (Psalm 37:5).

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).

This isn’t a one-sided relationship, where we seek God and He does nothing. No, our God is for us. Coming in might and glory to be our help. Working in details we can’t see to fulfill His every purpose for our lives. He watches over our way. Always very aware of where we are and what we are facing. Always right there with us in the midst of it, strengthening us and giving us light for our path.

I pray that this is an encouragement to you this morning. The God of Heaven is actively, intentionally working in your life and in your heart to draw you to Himself and bring about all His good plans for you. You are not alone here, and it isn’t all up to you. Seek the Lord and you will find Him. And you will discover that His goodness and mercy have been pursuing you all along.

“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them ever sing for joy,
and spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may exult in you.
For you bless the righteous, O LORD;
you cover him with favor as with a shield.”
Psalm 5:11-12
