Beholding our King – Isaiah 28:5-6

“In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory,
and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people,
and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment,
and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.”

Isaiah 28:5-6

People have widely varying views of God. Some are positive, some negative, some with at least a nugget of truth, and some that are entirely off-base.

I pray that we will be among the remnant of His people who see Him as the glorious, righteous, almighty King that He is. That our eyes would be opened to recognize truth and that the Spirit of God would expose all lies that aim to deceive our hearts. May we behold our King as the priceless treasure to which none can compare.

A crown of glory, surpassing any we have seen on earth or in the heavens.

A diadem of beauty, more pure and flawless than our hearts can fully grasp.

A spirit of justice, steadfast hope that our King has conquered over all evil and He will stand at the end, victorious.

Strength in battle, surrounding us and filling us with the power of God, enabling us to turn back the battle at the gate and follow Him to victory.

As we reflect on the truth of who our God is, may the light of the beauty of our Lord fill our hearts and captivate us with His radiant beauty.
